Italo Calvino incarnates Mr. Paloma in the novel. He walks on the beach, observes carefully, and tries to describe a wave.
Following the unveiling of Mr. Paloma's observations and contemplation as he walks along the beach, a desk and video are placed in this work. The audience can read the novel or sit down and listen to a sound performance of reading the novel.
