The Flying Timespace Base

The Flying Timespace Base was created onsite by the students and teachers of Lyudao Elementary School in collaboration with the artists. Multiple wooden structures are scattered across the campus lawn, forming a base that visitors and students can walk and play amongst - occasionally triggering sounds sampled from daily life as they move, which enriches the playful experience.

The artwork comfortably blends together with the surrounding environment as it responds to the varied visible and invisible “timespace” where it is situated - the distant mountains, school buildings, the lighthouse and sea behind the hill, and the students immersing themselves within.
